Moving Gear Wall Clocks
Every clock in this range has real working gears. Not a printed graphic of gears, not a decorative panel behind glass, but a mechanism that turns continuously while the clock keeps time. It is the reason people stop and look at them.
Two sizes. The 48cm models suit kitchens, hallways, home offices and anywhere you want a strong piece without dominating the wall. The 70cm models are statement pieces, built for a feature wall with room around them, with an open skeleton ring and a gear cluster at the centre. Measure your space before choosing: 70cm is considerably larger than it looks in a photo.
Finishes run from gunmetal and antique copper through brass gold, chrome, champagne, soft ivory and cream white, with Roman or Arabic numerals depending on how classic or contemporary you want it.
FAQ
Moving gear wall clocks: common questions
Do the gears actually move?
Yes. Every clock in this range has a real gear cluster that turns continuously while the clock keeps time. It is a working mechanism, not a printed picture of gears behind glass.
Are the clocks noisy?
No. They use a silent quartz movement, so there is no ticking. They are fine for bedrooms, home offices and living rooms.
What batteries do they take, and are they included?
Our clocks run on AA batteries, and batteries are not included. The gears run on their own movement, separate from the hands. Use a good-quality alkaline battery, as cheap ones tend to leak and can damage the movement.
Should I get the 48cm or the 70cm?
The 48cm models suit kitchens, hallways and home offices, anywhere you want a strong piece without dominating the wall. The 70cm models are statement pieces for a feature wall with room around them. Measure your space first: 70cm is a lot bigger than it looks in a photo.
How do I hang one?
Each clock has a fitting on the back ready to hang, but screws, hooks and wall plugs are not included. Pick a fixing rated for the weight and suited to your wall. The 70cm clocks are heavy (the Aurelion Luxe is 8.6 kg), and plasterboard needs a proper anchor, not a nail. The weight is listed on each product page.
Where should I avoid hanging it?
Keep it out of high-humidity rooms like bathrooms, away from heat sources, and out of direct sunlight so the finish keeps its colour. To clean it, wipe with a soft dry cloth.
